Working together
How quickly will you reply?+
Same-day on US and South Africa business days, within one business day at the outside. If something is urgent, email us directly and mark it urgent in the subject.
What hours do you work?+
We cover both United States and South Africa business hours, Monday to Friday. You are not waiting on a time zone for your project to move — there is always a working window that overlaps yours.
Do you work on-site?+
We work remotely by default. On-site work is possible by arrangement and would be quoted separately, including any travel.
Who actually does the work?+
A named, PMP-certified project owner. We do not hand your project to a junior after the sale — the person you talk to is the person who runs the delivery.
Scope and delivery
How do you handle changes to scope?+
In writing. When something new is requested, we note the impact on scope and cost and get a yes or no before the work changes. No silent scope creep.
What does a typical project look like?+
Discovery call, written scope and proposal, agreement and kickoff, delivery with weekly status, handover, and a short review. Six steps, all documented.
How do I know the project is on track?+
A written status report every week, plus a decision and change log you can see at any time. You should never have to ask 'where are we?'
Money
How do you price?+
Three ways: fixed scope projects (a set price for a set outcome), monthly retainers with a three-month minimum, and hourly work for short, unscoped pieces.
When do I pay?+
Fixed scope: 50% on agreement and 50% on handover, unless milestones are agreed. Retainers: monthly in advance. Hourly: monthly in arrears against a timesheet. Invoices are due within 7 days.
Are there any hidden costs?+
No. Software licences, third-party tools, travel, and work outside the agreed scope are excluded and always quoted separately in writing.
Legal and data
Is there a contract?+
Yes. A short agreement covering scope, deliverables, fees, and terms. We keep it in plain English — you should understand what you are signing.
How do you handle our data?+
We only access what we need to deliver the work, we do not retain it beyond the engagement, and we will sign an NDA where appropriate. See our privacy policy for details.
Where is the company based?+
Zenix Consulting (Pty) Ltd is a company registered in South Africa. We work with businesses in the United States and South Africa, and invoice in US dollars or rand depending on what suits you.
